In Dutch administrative law a unilateral decision of an administrative authority is the key figure. This research project focuses on the question whether or not unilateral decision making should remain the main object of administrative law or that this should be replaced by an alternative concept such as the ‘administrative legal relationship’ (bestuursrechtelijke rechtsbetrekking) that includes certain types of governmental contracts and a few other juridical acts.
